As a leading music school in Perth, The International School of Music Westcoast encourages children of all ages to be surrounded by music and performance. Our team of skilled teachers and musicians provide a unique range of group music programs for children 2 years and older. Nurturing a love and appreciation of music from a young age, our courses emphasise creativity and passion, inspiring many children to learn independently through a stimulating classroom environment.
At ISM Westcoast, our aim is to teach music as a fundamental language. The instruction is aurally based, maximising learning in young students and encouraging not only a love of music, but an understanding of music.
With a simple concept in mind, our students are able to grow emotionally, intellectually and musically. The concept of our courses is simple: what you hear, you sing; what you sing, you play; what you play, you read; what you read, you write.
Our fully qualified and highly experienced teachers are also ISM accredited, so they can provide your children with exceptional value and outstanding results. As passionate and understanding individuals, they truly care about the role they play in your child’s future.
Our Perth music school currently runs pre-school music classes and piano classes 6 days a week from our Wembley location. All of our pre-school and group piano classes are specifically written for children by Rosalind Thrift, a well-respected Australian music educator. All programs are supported by speed variable disks and have been carefully structured to provide maximum benefit to each student. Each program aims to develop all technical and musical components, whilst still being fun and exciting.
Individual piano lessons are available to Pianorama graduates as well as group theory classes. AMEB exams in Piano and Theory are available to Extension graduates.
