OUR PROGRAM
At ISM Westcoast, our aim is to teach music as a fundamental language. The instruction is aurally based, maximising learning in young students and encouraging not only a love of music, but an understanding of music.
Located in Wembley, ISM Westcoast is one of the leading music schools for children Perth has to offer. Since beginning in 2006, we currently have over 400 students across all our courses. The courses are carefully curated to cater for each age group, and combine a variety of musical activities to enhance their learning experience. We strive to bring music into the lives of children through a supportive and interactive environment, taught by musical teaching professionals.
At ISM we guide you through your musical journey from little Caterpillars and Jitterbug toddlers to our Pianorama graduating students, who are offered private lessons to continue music through recognised AMEB coursework. We are proud of the incredible results and progress our students have made.

COURSE STRUCTURE
JITTERBUGS
2 YEAR OLD
Providing toddlers with an opportunity to become immersed in the musical world. Incorporating singing, movement, percussion and musical themed craft in a welcoming group environment.
BEEBOPPER
3 YEAR OLD
This program catered for the 3-year old explores singing, movement, percussion, musical games and worksheets introducing them to the foundations of music in a social and active environment.
PIANORAMA
4+ YEARS OLD
Integrating the learning of piano and keyboard simultaneously with musicianship skills. In a sociable group environment, children explore percussion, singing, musical games and activities through structured programs continuing through to Intermediate and Extension Levels. They also have the opportunity to perform in our Annual Music Concert Series.
PRIVATE LESSONS
PIANORAMA EXTENSION GRADUATES
Offered to our Pianorama graduate students, our private lessons are designed to further the musical education of students. They study the recognised AMEB syllabus working towards practical examinations, building a rang of technical skills. They also have the opportunity to perform in ISM’s Annual Music Recital.
MUSICIANSHIP CLASS
PIANORAMA EXTENSION GRADUATES
Smaller group classes offered to our Pianorama Graduate students, to further develop their musicianship, piano technique and theoretical skills. Ensemble performance is a key aspect of this program.
